October has arrived and North Alabama is starting off the month with anime, festivals, and cemetery strolls.

Anime Town – Huntsville

October 2 – 4

The VBC hosts Anime Town Huntsville from Oct. 2-4. Wear your cosplay from your favorite anime and meet some of the actors behind beloved characters. The event features voice actors from shows such as Avatar, Pokemon, Death Note and Dragonball. The weekend also hosts a variety of vendors and panels to have a fun anime-filled weekend. Tickets are still available so grab yours and join in on the fun! 

Madison Street Festival – Madison

October 3

Downtown Madison will host the annual Madison Street Festival on Oct. 3. Packed with opportunities for arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainments, a parade and more. Take part in the festivities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Athens Cemetery Stroll – Athens

October 4

Athens City Cemetery brings the voices of Limestone County back to life with the Athens Cemetery Stroll on Oct. 4. Costumed re-enactors portray various individuals who now rest in the cemetery. Join the living history of North Alabama from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Five Finger Death Punch – Huntsville 

October 7

Five Finger Death Punch makes a stop at The Orion for their 20th anniversary tour. The hard-rock band promises to deliver a chart-topping performance. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and the show begins at 6:45 p.m. Don’t miss out, get your ticket today for less than $50.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Biergarten – Huntsville

October 8

Every Thursday evening until the end of October, the Space and Rocket Center opens the Saturn V Hall for the Biergarten. Attendees enjoy great beer, pretzels and live music beneath the Saturn V. Entry is free and food and drink are available for purchase.

Take time at the start of the new month to take a look around North Alabama and give a new, fun outing a try.
