Aderholt calls for marching band entries in 2025 Presidential Inaugural Parade

WASHINGTON – They’re looking for more than 76 trombones to lead the big parade.

Not to mention the 110 cornets close at hand.

In fact, throw in a thousand reeds and horns of every shape and size because organizers of the 2025 Presidential Inauguration Parade are trumpeting out a call for marching bands.

“On January 20, 2025, the United States will inaugurate the 47th president of the United States ,” said U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville). “While the election to choose the next president is still several weeks away, plans for the inauguration are already underway. The plans include the current construction of the inaugural platform on the United States Capitol West Front and planning for the inaugural parade down Pennsylvania Avenue.

“I know that we have some great high school and college marching bands across Alabama, and they would make a great addition representing Alabama in the parade. Organizations that wish to enter floats into the parade will also be considered. I look forward to Alabama being represented on Jan. 20.”

For more information, visit the parade website here. The deadline to enter is Dec. 4.
