HUNTSVILLE — Nearly a dozen Madison County organizations, ranging from education to first responders to economic development, are receiving grants today through the Alabama’s Mountains, Rivers & Valleys Resource, Conservation & Development Council.
The organization, in partnership with the Madison County legislative delegation, is providing $139,246 to the organizations.
The presentation will be this morning at Whitesburg Middle School in Huntsville. State Sens. Sam Givhan, Tom Butler, Steve Livingston, and Wes Kitchens will be joined by State Reps. Laura Hall, Ritchie Whorton, Andy Whitt, Rex Reynolds, and James Lomax, along with the AMRV Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council, grantees, local elected officials, and guests.
