AUBURN – Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business has updated one of its most popular programs, renaming it the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics & AI.
The change, effective this fall, expands course offerings and places greater emphasis on artificial intelligence to address the evolving needs of today’s professionals and businesses, the university announced.
Previously known as the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, the certificate is offered on campus and online to provide maximum flexibility for working professionals seeking to advance their careers.
“We recognize the transformative power of AI in today’s business world,” said Yen-Yao Wang, director of Business Analytics and Information Systems Master’s and Certificate Programs at Harbert College. “By expanding and renaming this certificate, we are aligning our offerings with market trends and the expectations of employers, ensuring our graduates are prepared to succeed in an AI-enhanced environment.
The revised curriculum delivers expertise in foundational business analytics and the latest in AI applications, aiming to give participants a competitive edge as data and AI transform the business landscape.
The updated program introduces increased flexibility with a broader selection of courses so students can tailor their studies to align with specific career goals.
Courses such as Introduction to AI, Predictive Modeling for Business Decisions, and Data Visualization prepare students with real-world skills at the intersection of analytics and AI.
The enhancements ensure Auburn’s curriculum stays aligned with current business practices and employer expectations, especially as the demand grows for team members who can effectively leverage data and AI to support innovation and decision-making.
