Bank Independent VP Diaz named assistant school director for Alabama Banking School

SHEFFIELD – Jessica Diaz, vice president-director of learning & development for Bank Independent, has been named assistant school director for the Alabama Banking School.

The role is to assist the chairman and school director in performing all duties in connection with the school. 

“We’re thrilled to see Jessica recognized and named as the new Assistant School Director  for the Alabama Banking School,” said Jason Windham, pPresident at Bank Independent and director for the Alabama Banking School. “Her leadership and work ethic make a positive difference in our organization and I’m excited to continue to work with her at both Bank Independent and, now, the Alabama Banking School.”  

Diaz is a graduate of the Alabama Banking School and was president for the Class of 2015 and class director for the Class of 2023. She joined Bank Independent in January 2024 as director of learning and development, bringing more than 25 years of banking experience.
