Kicking off Calhoun Community College’s annual Career Preparedness Week, the school’s Career Services team is hosting its annual Spring Job Fairs in the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) on the school’s Decatur campus and in the Sparkman building on the school’s Huntsville campus tomorrow, April 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Career preparedness week features a variety of events for job seekers at no cost on both campuses. The events help job seekers strengthen their networking skills, learn about available career options, and help students obtain the soft skills they need to land their dream job.

The job fairs are free and open to Calhoun students, graduates, and the entire community.
According to Kelli Morris, Calhoun director of Career Services, this year’s job fair will feature over 90 companies that are eager to hire.

“As job seekers prepare for this week’s job fair, we are encouraging them to take time and make certain their resumes are current and free of errors as the majority of the employers who will be in attendance are looking to fill their part and full-time vacancies as soon as possible,” Morris said.

Candidates should also come dressed for success as some employers will conduct on-site interviews. Calhoun students without professional clothing can make an appointment with Career Services to shop in the career closet free of charge.

Students can also make an appointment to have their resumes reviewed for free.
You may schedule appointments here to do both.
