Christmas Parade to bring road closures to downtown Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Police Department advises drivers to expect traffic congestion and road closures in downtown Huntsville today for the annual Huntsville Christmas Parade.

Multiple streets and intersections along the parade route will close at 5:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. The following roads will be impacted:

  • Clinton Avenue
  • Church Street
  • Williams Avenue
  • Washington Street
  • Franklin Street
  • Meridian Street

The parade will start from Lot K on Clinton Avenue East, turn right onto Church Street, and end on Meridian Street northwest near the Lumberyard. All roads are expected to reopen by 8 p.m.

HPD urges drivers to use caution when approaching the parade route. The annual Christmas Parade draws large crowds, so drivers should anticipate increased pedestrian traffic throughout the area.
