Community Foundation board of directors boasts strong leadership

HUNTSVILLE – Following another year of growth, the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville announced its 2025 board of directors, chaired by Lynn Troy, president of Troy 7.

As the leading organization on strategic philanthropy in the area, the foundation mobilizes generosity in the North Alabama region.

In December, the foundation’s Corporate Giving Network granted more than $2 million to 189 area nonprofit organizations. This concluded 2024’s trajectory of giving, during which the Foundation processed a record $23.7 million in gifts.

The incoming board consists of local leaders who aim to guide the vision of the Foundation as it continues to serve the region. Representing a diverse cross-section of the community, the board will be chaired by Lynn Troy, president of Troy 7.

“As we welcome our new board of directors for 2025, I am eager to work alongside them to continue our growth,” said Melissa Thompson, CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville. “The diverse expertise, passion for our mission, and dedication to our community will be invaluable as we continue to mobilize generosity for the region.”
