Downtown Huntsville Inc., Huntsville Music Office announce headliners for 805 After Five concert series

HUNTSVILLE — It’s after five somewhere …

In this case, it’s at Huntsville’s Campus 805 – as in the 805 After Five free concert series.

And the second annual series, presented by Downtown Huntsville, Inc. and the Huntsville Music Office, starts this month.

Returning to Campus 805’s Butler Green Park on the third Thursday each month, the outdoor event features free concerts, local artisans, food trucks, interactive activities, and craft beverages from Straight to Ale and Yellowhammer Brewing.

The schedule:

  • Kicking off the season May 15, Lamont Landers takes the stage with his signature Southern soul. Hailing from Decatur, Landers grew up immersed in classic Southern rock and soul, soaking in the sounds of legends like the Allman Brothers and Stevie Ray Vaughan. With new music slated for release this year, Landers promises a powerful, heartfelt performance. “I let the music speak for itself,” he said. “There’s a natural Southern vibe, soul, and guitar — it’s everything I am.”
  • On June 19, legendary New Orleans icons The Dirty Dozen Brass Band bring their infectious energy to Huntsville. With over 45 years of history, the GRAMMY-winning ensemble is celebrated for transforming the brass band genre, blending jazz, funk, R&B, and soul into a genre-defying sound they describe as “musical gumbo.” Their high-octane live shows have earned them a global fan base and collaborations with artists from Modest Mouse to Norah Jones.
  • On July 17, rising blues phenom Eddie 9V will light up the stage. Known for his raw, vintage-inspired sound and fiery guitar work, Eddie 9V is redefining Southern blues for a new generation.
  • Aug. 21 welcomes the critically acclaimed rock project Bully. Led by Alicia Bognanno, Bully’s fourth album “Lucky For You” is her most personal and powerful work yet, filled with anthemic hooks and emotional depth that showcases her continued evolution as one of indie rock’s most distinctive voices.
  • Prepare for an unforgettable night on Sept. 18 with the viral sensation Saxsquatch. This seven-foot-tall, saxophone-playing sasquatch has taken the internet by storm with funky, sax-driven electronic sets that have gained him over 3 million followers and an international fanbase.
  • The series concludes with a tribute to rock royalty on Oct. 16, as The Stolen Faces bring the spirit of the Grateful Dead to life. Known for their faithful renditions and vibrant improvisation, this tribute band captures the essence of a live Dead show, making for the perfect finale to the 2025 season.
