GUNTERSVILLE — Spring has sprung, and there’s no better place to enjoy the sunshine in North Alabama than at the new City Harbor at Lake Guntersville.
While some of the waterfront restaurants and retail spaces are already open, construction is expected to wrap up this summer. Patrick Lawler of P. Lawler Enterprises is the developer of the 55,000 square-foot mixed-use project.
City Harbor will include condos, a large event space, restaurants, a cigar bar, a brewery and several indoor-outdoor bars, as well as a home décor store – all perched right over beautiful Lake Guntersville.
Stunning views can be found from every angle, whether shopping, eating or enjoying an ice-cold beverage.
Accessible by land or water, City Harbor at Lake Guntersville has something for everyone:
Owned by Guntersville local Mary Melton, the Wake Eatery is the first location for the restaurant and the first business to open at City Harbor. With its assortment of burgers and boat drinks, Wake will be sure to hit the spot during or after a fun day on the lake.
For brunch with a view, the highly anticipated brunch restaurant will open this month. Its menu ranges from classic French toast to chicken and waffles to skinny omelets. Hard to beat brunch with a view.
This waterfront bar is named after City Harbor developer Patrick Lawler’s grandson. The waterfront lounge will feature beer, wine, cocktails and specialty frozen drinks, plus plenty of outdoor recreation space.
The Alabama steakhouse chose Guntersville for its sixth location and plans to open next month. Big Mike’s is owned by three friends – Mike Cole, Scott Powell and Caine Conway – who were on a mission to bring high quality, big-city style steaks to small towns without big city prices.
Opening in July, this authentic Mexican restaurant infuses modern cuisine with a relaxing, lakeside atmosphere. The Huntsville-based eatery offers Mexican tapas, along with wine and crafted cocktails.
Originally located in Stovehouse in Huntsville, this will be the co-op’s second location. Made up of four breweries – Salty Nut, Good People, Avondale, Druid City, Straight to Ale – the co-op will also have a full-service kitchen, complementing the brews they serve, as well as the location each brewery hails from. Southern Brewers is set to open mid-June.
Home Re-Décor
A home interior store located right on the water, Home Re-Décor carries rustic, chic, farmhouse and traditional home décor and furniture. Each piece is restored or refurbished and comes mostly from local vendors. This is the second store location for owners Josh and Gracelyn Manis.
The third location in Alabama, the Cigar Room encourages visitors to “come as a guest, leave as a friend.” The come-as-you-are casual location welcomes everyone to discover a huge selection of cigars and loose tobacco, as well as accessories.
The City Harbor offers 20 short-term rental lakeside condos, all of which are two bedroom/two bathroom. Each unit features a lakeside balcony and comes fully furnished, including in-unit laundry sets. Suites start at $250 per night and have a two-night minimum on the weekends.
