FLORENCE – All eyes will be on The Bank in February as North Alabama men’s basketball hosts Eastern Kentucky in a nationally televised Atlantic Sun Conference matchup.
The game at CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall will tip off on ESPNU at 3 p.m. Feb. 15.
It will be the first time UNA has hosted a nationally televised game and the seventh consecutive year an ASUN men’s basketball regular season contest will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The Lions tip off their season tonight at Mississippi State at 8 p.m. The game can be viewed on the SEC Network.
February’s game will be the eighth all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Colonels holding a 4-3 edge in previous matchups. UNA is coming off a 24-11 campaign that saw Head Coach Tony Pujol lead the Lions to the ASUN Regular Season title as well as a trip to the tournament final and the program’s first NIT appearance.
“Hosting our first nationally televised game inside CB&S Bank Arena marks a significant milestone for our program and university,” said Pujol. “This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase North Alabama, our student-athletes, and the passionate support of our community.
“EKU is a first-class opponent that represents the level of competition we strive to face, and we look forward to representing UNA on a national stage.”
