Estes Field PCA Rodeo rides back into Centre next month

Rodeo action is returning to Cherokee County next month as the Estes Field PCA Rodeo rides into Centre for two nights of competition and family entertainment June 12-13.

Sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and the City of Centre, the annual rodeo will take place at Estes Field on Main Street.

Organizers say the event is designed to appeal to both longtime rodeo fans and families looking for summer entertainment, with a full lineup of professional rodeo events, food trucks and activities for children.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. each night. Mutton busting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., followed by the rodeo at 7:30 p.m.

Competitive events will include bareback riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. Professional rodeo clowns will also entertain the crowd throughout the event.

Daily admission is $20 per person, while children ages 5 and younger will be admitted free.

Advance tickets are available through the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism office, and tickets will also be sold at the gate.
