Fore! Putt-putt tees off on Huntsville’s Courthouse Square

HUNTSVILLE — The Masters is over and you didn’t win again this year but there is a new challenge ahead for Huntsville duffers.

The Downtown Open on the Courthouse Square opened Thursday night and will run through April 30.

Sponsored by Downtown Huntsville, Inc., the event is an 18-hole free putt-putt course – no need to qualify like you do at Augusta. All ages and levels of play are welcome.

Free putters and balls will be provided at BeeZr, Humphrey’s Bar and Grill, and Honest Coffee.

Designed as a unique urban putt-putt course with each hole sponsored by a downtown Huntsville business, the Downtown Open wraps around the square with plenty of refreshment stations at the “turn,” including Humphrey’s Bar and Grill and Honest Coffee Roasters.

Once you bring it home to the clubhouse, you will find an official 19th hole at BeeZr featuring a Downtown Open-inspired beverage.

The course is open as long as the restaurants are open, so be sure and check their hours of operation.
