HUNTSVILLE — In a move to accelerate its long-term growth objectives, Gannet Biochem said it has promoted Bob Rodebaugh to vice president of technology.
Gannet BioChem is a Huntsville-based specialty chemical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization. The company operated originally as Shearwater Polymers and subsequently as a subsidiary of Nektar Therapeutics.
In a news release, the company said Rodebaugh’s promotion is a “strategic addition to its executive team to strengthen leadership, and enhance collaboration across the company.”
“Expanding our executive team, alongside continued investment in our capabilities — including doubling the capacity of our packaging facilities — positions Gannet BioChem for its next phase of growth,” said CEO Nick Shackley. “By elevating a proven leader into this key role and refining our structure, we are ensuring the company remains agile, efficient, and prepared to meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners in the biopharmaceutical industry.”
Rodebaugh will oversee process and analytical development as well as program management, ensuring customers benefit from a seamless and integrated path throughout the drug development lifecycle.
He most recently led Gannet BioChem’s Huntsville manufacturing operations and holds a PhD in organic chemistry from Duke University.
