HUNTSVILLE — Get ready for a morning of biking fun next weekend.
The Mark Russell Recreation Center invites riders of all levels for a day packed with skills, safety and plenty of excitement.
Children in grades K–5 are encouraged to bring their bikes and enjoy a fun-filled Saturday, morning of cycling activities, complete with bike and helmet safety checks and engaging activities to keep everyone active. The event is 10-11:30 a.m.
Sparky, a special visitor from the Huntsville Fire & Rescue, will be stationed to greet attendees and emphasize safety precautions.
“Riding bikes with friends is a favorite way many kids spend their summer,” said Huntsville Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “Events like this not only provide a fun atmosphere but also encourage and promote bike safety among young riders, helping them build good habits that will last.”
The event coincides with Bike Safety Month and the Mayor’s Bike Ride, highlighting the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing multimodal transportation and rider safety.
