HUNTSVILLE – Things are going to get hot next year – as in Hattie B’s Hot Chicken.

The Nashville-based restaurant has signed a lease to open its first Huntsville location, Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate Group said in a news release.

Planned for a 2,800 square-foot standalone building in the heart of Stadium Commons, Hattie B’s anticipates opening in late 2025.

“We’ve had our eye on Huntsville for some time and Stadium Commons is a great fit for us,” said Hattie B’s Hot Chicken co-founder Nick Bishop Jr. “It will be a unique experience and destination in Huntsville, and we’re excited to be part of this cool project.”

Stadium Commons is adjacent to Wicks Family Foundation Field at Joe Davis Stadium. It is the first phase of a mixed-use development that features retail and food & beverage, and is part of a larger development that includes multi-family, parking garage and a “dual” Hilton hotel with 200 combined rooms overlooking the stadium.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hattie B’s to our project,” said Anusha Alapati Davis, vice president of eetail at Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate. “Their addition brings an exciting blend of flavor and community spirit that perfectly complements our vision for this development.”

Stadium Commons is being developed and leased by Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate Group.  Other key partners include Brasfield & Gorrie as general contractor, Smith Gee Studio as architects, Kiser Vogrin Design as landscape architects, and Schoel Engineering as the civil engineer for the project.
