Have a very furry Christmas! Bring joy by adopting or fostering one of Santa’s little helpers

HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville Animal Services is asking the community to give pets in the shelter a chance to have a loving and warm home for the holidays.

Several of Santa’s little helpers are currently up for adoption or to be fostered. From now through Dec. 24, adoption fees will be waived on most adult dogs.

Whether you’re ready to make a lifelong commitment or open your home temporarily, Animal Services is here to help find the perfect furry companion.

“Adopting or fostering a pet during the holidays is a meaningful way to bring joy into your home,” said Huntsville Animal Services Director John Fischer. “The holiday season is all about family, and there’s no better time to make a pet part of yours.

“Fostering, even for a short time, can also make a huge difference in the lives of these animals.”

Adoptions include up-to-date vaccinations, a microchip for pet identification, spay or neuter surgery, a City license, and, a free bag of dry pet food while supplies last.

Animal Services will also host a pop-up adoption event Saturday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Starbucks at Village of Providence, 20 Town Center Drive.
