Huntsville Animal Services hosting Howl-O-Ween Trunk ‘R Treat

(City of Huntsville contributed)

HUNTSVILLE — Howls heard in Huntsville this month won’t come from local werewolves! Instead, they’ll be coming from eager animals awaiting adoption at the second annual Howl-O-Ween Trunk ‘R Treat at Huntsville Animal Services.

The free, family-friendly event will be Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at Huntsville Animal Services, 4950 Triana Blvd.

During the event, Animal Services will offer fee-waived adoptions on most adult pets as well as all-you-can-eat candy, pet treats, games and a bounce house for little ones.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required!

“We’ve got some wonderful pets in need of homes as the summer winds down and chillier air kicks in,” said Animal Services Director Dr. Karen Sheppard. “We also have plenty of candy ready for your trick-or-treater while you walk through the shelter.”

Adoptable animals come spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and include a City license and free bag of pet food. If you’re not able to adopt, consider taking advantage of the shelter’s fostering program.

Don’t miss your chance to bring home a fur-ever friend to keep the ghouls away on Halloween night.
