HUNTSVILLE — In just a couple weeks, the blue-and-gold clad Huntsville City FC will take the pitch.

And that includes three matches in Huntsville.

The first-year club kicks off its eight-match preseason Feb. 11 with a friendly at the Birmingham Legion. Tickets for that match can be purchased here.

“The fans will get a glimpse of the up-and-coming MLS players,” said head coach Jack Collison. “The guys will get experience in these matches.”

The preseason runs through March 22, including the Huntsville matches and one in Nashville – a closed-door match against the parent club Nashville SC.

The first home preseason match is March 4 against Savannah Clovers at John Hunt Park. The Clovers are members of the professional National Independent Soccer Association.

Huntsville City will host FC Cincinnati 2, the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate of FC Cincinnati, on March 14 at John Hunt Park.

The club closes out the preseason March 22 against the University of Alabama in Huntsville at Charger Field.

Huntsville City FC will participate in closed-door matches against the Philadelphia Union II, Chattanooga Red Wolves and Nashville. An open friendly is March 18 against the NISA Chattanooga FC at Finley Stadium.

The club will be announcing its regular season schedule in the coming weeks.
