Huntsville Hospital construction causes temporary patient drop off/pickup changes

HUNTSVILLE – Planned renovations to Huntsville Hospital’s main entrance will temporarily change how patients enter and exit the facility.

The renovations are expected to take about three months.

Beginning today, all patients being dropped off by vehicle for a scheduled procedure, test or hospital admission should go to the front of the Orthopedic & Spine Tower, 200 Sivley Road. Following their stay, discharged patients can be picked up at the same spot.

Hospital staff will be available to help arriving patients get from the Orthopedic & Spine Tower to their destination, then back to the tower when it’s time to go home.

  • Anyone who wants to remain at the hospital after dropping off a patient should use the Visitor Parking garage on Gallatin Street.
  • Patients driving themselves to the hospital should continue to use the Visitor Parking garage on Gallatin Street, then report to the area they have been instructed to go for check in.
  • Patients seeking emergency care should continue to use the ER vehicle entrance on Madison Street.

Other facilities on Huntsville Hospital’s downtown campus are not affected, including Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, The Heart Center, The Orthopaedic Center (TOC), Spine & Neuro Center, Governors Medical Tower, Blackwell Medical Tower and The Women’s Pavilion.
