HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville-Madison County Chamber said some members reported an issue when visiting the website Wednesday.

However, the issue has been resolved, and members should not encounter any pop-up Captcha forms on the site, Chamber President & CEO Chip Cherry said.

In an email to members, Cherry said a few members reported seeing an unexpected Captcha pop-up window that looked similar to this image:

Cherry when they clicked “I’m not a robot,” additional messages appeared on their screen.

“We do NOT use pop-up Captcha forms on hsvchamber.org,” Cherry said in the email. “After investigating the issue with our website support company, we identified the malware and deployed a security fix this afternoon.”

Cherry added this information:

  • If you clicked on one of these pop-ups before the fix and are now experiencing problems, please contact your IT support.
  • We also ask that you notify Mary McNairy at [email protected] so we can track reported cases.

“We do have contact forms for our team members which do contain ReCAPTCHA at the bottom of the form,” he wrote. “They are located at the bottom of our various department pages and are not pop-ups.”
