Huntsville Parks & Recreation to host fourth annual Eggstravaganza

HUNTSVILLE — Hop over to John Hunt Park to enjoy a fun-filled free Easter event with egg hunts, food trucks, visits with the Easter Bunny and more at the fourth annual Eggstravaganza.

Hosted by Huntsville Parks & Recreation, the event will be April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the John Hunt Park Festival Grounds behind the Jaycee Community Building.

The celebration begins with a grand entrance from the Easter Bunny and continues with scheduled age group egg hunts, crafts and prizes for kids. Members of Huntsville’s public safety departments will also be participating.

The egg hunt schedule is:

  • Special populations, 10 a.m.
  • Ages 5 and under, 10:30 a.m.
  • Ages 6-9, 11 a.m.
  • Ages 10-12, 11:30 a.m.

“Eggstravaganza is an event for the whole family to enjoy,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “This is our fourth year hosting the event, and it’s always a hit because there’s something there for everyone.”
