Huntsville police arrest 2 more men in connection with Meridian Street shooting

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Police Department arrested and charged two more suspects with reckless murder in connection to a deadly shooting last month.

The incident happened just before 10 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Chevron Food Mart, 3310 Meridian Street, just north of the Alabama A&M campus,

A Huntsville police officer was patrolling in the area when he heard gunshots. When officers arrived, they found Damien Obrien Manning, 22, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead. A second victim was wounded.

On Monday, Dion Earl Ernest Roos-VorHauer, 19, of Huntsville was booked into the Madison County Jail, police said.

Jordan C Lakes, 20, of Huntsville was booked Thursday into the Madison County Jail.

Police have already arrested and charged Tyler O’Neal Andrade, 21; Jordan Latrell Smith, 21; and Kennedy Thomas Turner, 20, all of Huntsville, with reckless murder in the shooting.

More arrests are expected, as HPD Major Crimes Unit continues its investigation.
