Huntsville Police Department invites community to final ‘Family Fun Night’ of the year

HUNTSVILLE — As summer comes to a close, the Huntsville Police Department’s North Precinct is having one more final “Family Fun Night” of the year.

The department said the event, scheduled for next Monday, is guaranteed to have a “slice of fun for everyone.”

“We want our community members to see us as their partners,” said Capt. Tony McElyea. “These monthly ‘Family Fun Night’ events have given us an opportunity to listen to our residents’ concerns.

“We are looking forward to hosting this monthly event next year.”

There will be inflatables, outdoor games with police officers, prizes, and more. Free pizza and ice-cold refreshments will also be available.

The event is 5-7 p.m. at the Dr. Robert Shurney Legacy Center, 3011 Sparkman Drive.
