HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville’s northward expansion continues and the red dirt will soon be turning for a residential development.
IMS Communities said it has closed on construction financing for Beacon Place North Valley, the first residential development within the larger North Valley master plan in North Huntsville.

Construction is slated to begin this, marking a key step forward in bringing a fresh and in-demand housing option to the area.
Beacon Place North Valley will feature one-story apartment homes with private garages and EV charging for every unit — a product IMS has delivered in 10 other developments across the Southeast.
“The IMS Communities team is excited to be a part of the Huntsville community,” said an IMS spokesperson. “We stand ready to work alongside the city of Huntsville to contribute to the incredible growth and development of the Rocket City.”
Beacon Place will introduce a unique residential product that adds variety to Huntsville’s robust multifamily landscape. The development aims to meet growing demand while offering a thoughtfully designed living experience.

North Valley also includes commercial outparcels positioned at the intersection of Alabama Highway 53 and Blake Bottom Road.
Retail spaces are available, and IMS is seeking partnerships with big-box retailers and best-in-class national and regional tenants to complement the residential offerings.
Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate played a key role in the project’s foundation by assisting IMS Communities in the acquisition of approximately 130 acres of land in North Huntsville, purchased from the UAH Foundation in 2023.
