HUNTSVILLE — Invariant has announced the window is open for high school seniors to apply for its Pickard Strong Scholarship. The scholarship provides $2,000 toward college tuition, books, or supplies.

Headquartered in Huntsville, the company provides engineering and software solutions to the Department of Defense. This scholarship honors the legacy of former Invariant employee, Jack “Warren” Pickard, who was an integral team member for many years.

“Invariant and the Pickard family co-created this scholarship to equip local student workforce leaders with the financial resources to pursue higher education,” said Invariant President David Anderson. “Warren had an extremely diverse educational background and was a dedicated, lifelong learner.

“Our hope is that his memory continues to be honored through this program to help students achieve their educational goals.”

Seniors in the Huntsville, Madison, and Madison County school systems are eligible to apply. Students must be or plan to be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program or university, possess a minimum 2.8 GPA, and holds similar values as Warren through leadership, education, and community activities.
