HUNTSVILLE – “Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
“Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September …”
The classic Earth, Wind and Fire song strikes a chord in September for Huntsville Music Month.
To kick off the month-long celebration, the Huntsville Music Office is hosting Launchpad with three nights of free live music Sept. 5-7 in Big Spring Park West.
The third-year series features high-powered performances across multiple genres delivered from exciting local, regional, and national artists.
“We’re proud to see Launchpad evolve into an annual tradition for music fans that shines a spotlight on Huntsville and the talent gracing our stages,” said Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “This weekend sets the tone for a month dedicated to music discovery, collaboration and community spirit.”
This year’s Launchpad lineup offers something for everyone, from smooth jazz to indie rock and alternative to Americana soul.
“Music is a part of what makes Huntsville not just a smart place, but a soulful one,” said Mayor Tommy Battle. “Launchpad reflects our commitment to building a vibrant, welcoming music ecosystem that supports local artists and brings our community together.”
Each night will showcase a curated mix of local, regional, and national acts on the Huntsville Music Office stage, offering residents and visitors a high-energy, family-friendly concert experience under the stars.
