HUNTSVILLE — The governor will visit the Rocket City today for a pair of events saluting the area.

At noon, Gov. Kay Ivey will deliver the keynote address at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Alabama Update at the Von Braun Center.

She is expected to speak on the 2025 legislative session, discussing her remaining legislative priorities.

The governor will then go to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for a ceremonial signing of House Bill 159 around 1:15 p.m.

The law renames the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Commission and states that the governor serves as an ex officio nonvoting member of the commission.
