Last chance: Beautification Awards nominations deadline Wednesday

(City of Huntsville contributed)

HUNTSVILLE – Wednesday is the last day for 2023 Huntsville Beautification Awards nominations.

Any Huntsville-licensed commercial, business or government property at least one year old and within the city limits is eligible for the annual awards.

The judging starts at the property’s curb, including first impressions; originality; distinction; design; quality of plants such as trees, shrubs, flowers, ground cover and grass; maintenance; hardscape design; and litter control.

Professional landscapers must complete an entry form for each property submitted – lists of properties will not be accepted. Only one copy of the landscaper’s license per property is required.

Previous award-winners must re-apply each year.

For nominations, click here to download and complete the 2023 entry form.

There is a $50 fee for each entry and a copy of the 2023 business license is also required.

Because of Wednesday’s deadline, email Joy Parker for information to submit forms and fee or call 256-527-0140 or 256-881-5487.

Make checks payable to the Huntsville Beautification Board.

Judging will take place May 29.
