HUNTSVILLE – With midterm elections fast approaching, some fresh voices are speaking out in the form of Libertarian Party Alabama.

Libertarian candidates, including gubernatorial candidate Dr. Jimmy Blake, will be attending the Economic Empowerment Forum hosted by the Alabama Florida Football Conference on Sept. 25. The forum will be at 4 p.m. in the NSS Conference Center at 6001 Pulaski Pike in Huntsville.

The forum is open to all candidates in the state.

“We so appreciate the AFFC’s invitation, and the Libertarian Party plans to have multiple candidates in attendance,” said Gavin Goodman, party chairman and chair of the Committee to Elect Jimmy Blake. “The AFFC has shown how important economic issues are to the citizens of Alabama.

“The Libertarian Party candidates will be speaking on market solutions for economic growth, professional licensure deregulation, the lottery, public safety, and cannabis legalization.”

Goodman also called on the Democrat and Republican parties to attend and address the issues facing people in the state.

“We look forward to opportunity to have a transparent and open discussion with the other candidates wishing to represent the citizens of Alabama from the other major parties,” said Goodman.
