Little, Alvarez win Huntsville runoff elections

HUNTSVILLE — David Little and Andrea Alvarez were the winners Tuesday in the Huntsville municipal runoff elections.

Little captured the City Council District 2 seat and Alvarez was elected to the Huntsville School Board’s District 3 position.

Little received 2,056 votes (63.46%) to Bill Yell’s 1,184 (36.54%). Little won 12 of the 14 precincts.

Alvarez had 2,724 votes (62.62%) to 1,626 (37.38%) for Angela McClure. Alvarez won all but one of the district’s precincts.

The city will post the official election results on its website after they have been canvassed by the City Council at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
