Marshall County home sales up from March

GUNTERSVILLE — Home sales in Marshall County increased by nearly one-fourth since March but are down more than a third from a year ago, according to the Marshall County Board of Realtors.

April residential sales increased 23.5% from March however they are down 35.7% year-to-date.

The number of listings slipped 4.9% from March to April, leaving an inventory of 2.3 months. It is a marked increase from last year when there was a 21-day inventory.

Meanwhile, the median sales price of $240,000 is 3.2% higher than March and a 4.4% increase from April 2022.

Homes sold in April averaged 48 days on the market, 18 days slower than in April 2022.
