The University of Alabama in Huntsville will kick off Mission: Homecoming 2026 on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with five days of events designed to celebrate Charger spirit and campus traditions.

Hosted by the Office of Student Life in partnership with the UAH Alumni Association and UAH Athletics, Homecoming runs through Sunday, Feb. 22, bringing students, alumni, faculty and fans together for food, fun and free entertainment across campus.

One of the signature events is the Lip Sync Battle and Homecoming Court presentation at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, in Spragins Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. The event will be hosted by UAH alum Allen Bailey, with music by DJ Papa Rooster. A Student Government Association bonfire will follow at 9 p.m. behind Spragins Hall, featuring hot cocoa and cider.

Saturday’s schedule includes the Charging Home Pump and Run 5K at the University Fitness Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. Participants can bench press before the race to shave seconds off their finish time. All runners will receive an event T-shirt, and awards will be presented to top finishers.

Also returning Saturday is ChargerCon, the university’s annual gaming and technology expo, from noon to 9 p.m. in the Charger Union. Open to all ages and free to attend, the event will feature video game tournaments, an arts festival, a cosplay contest, workshops and panels, an indie game alley and free play areas.

The Sideline at the Slab tailgate experience will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at The Slab, the outdoor stage and lawn just south of the Conference Training Center. UAH alum DJ New Era will provide music while guests enjoy food, drinks, lawn games and giveaways in a family-friendly atmosphere.

UAH Athletics will also host multiple contests throughout the week. Women’s and men’s basketball will face Auburn Montgomery on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., followed by matchups against the University of Montevallo on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Women’s lacrosse will compete against Florida Southern on Thursday at 7 p.m. and the University of Virginia’s College at Wise on Sunday at noon. Baseball and softball will take on Lee University in doubleheaders Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at noon.

During halftime of Thursday’s men’s basketball game, UAH Athletics will recognize 124 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 GPAs from the spring and or fall 2025 semesters as part of its 4.0 Night celebration. The UAH Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime of Saturday’s men’s basketball game.

Most events will take place across the UAH campus, weather permitting for outdoor activities. A full schedule and additional details are available on the UAH Homecoming webpage and the latest athletics information can be found at uahchargers.com.
