Monte Sano Art Festival welcomes over 140 diverse artists to state park

HUNTSVILLE – Breathtaking views and outdoor adventure will complement one-of-a-kind artwork at the Monte Sano Art Festival next month at Monte Sano State Park.

A Huntsville tradition, the juried art festival will present over 140 local and regional artists, a selection of local food vendors, and featured musicians.

The festival will be open to the public 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21. Arts Huntsville does not charge admission to the festival; however, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking or $5 per walk-in festival attendee, cash only. All funds go toward supporting the state parks system.

“The Monte Sano Art Festival is a beloved North Alabama event, offering patrons the chance to discover a diverse array of artistry from local, regional, and national talents,” said Allison Dillon-Jauken, executive director of Arts Huntsville. “We take pride in being a juried showcase, highlighting professional artists who have been handpicked from a highly competitive pool.

“From exquisite jewelry and intricate clay pieces to expressive paintings and captivating sculptures, the quality of the work is outstanding and sure to captivate first-time buyers and seasoned collectors alike.”

Food trucks will be on site and visitors can dine al fresco on picnic tables. Local musicians will perform on two stages during the weekend presented by Redstone Realty Solutions and Redstone Federal Credit Union. A full list of food trucks and musicians can be found on the Monte Sano Art Festival page on the Arts Huntsville website.

This year’s festival is presented by Damson Automotive, with additional support from Torch Technologies, Legacy Health Chiropractic, COLSA, Leaf Filter, Vista, Sam’s Club, and Renewal by Anderson.
