“It is a powerful example of how industry and education can work together to prepare a skilled, professional workforce,” said Baisha Woody, director of Skills Training at Gadsden State.

The program, offered through Gadsden State’s Workforce Development Division, uses a multi-faceted approach reducing barriers to entry and fosters professional development through a combination of student support, asynchronous videos, classroom instruction and hands-on training in food safety, customer service, up-skilling and leadership development.

The partnership provides a pathway for professional development as well as strategic talent opportunities.

“Chick-fil-A Gadsden is committed to developing leaders,” said Tammy Stephens, Chick-fil-A Gadsden operations and training lead. “We are proud to partner with Gadsden State to offer cutting edge training that not only teaches essential skills for restaurant operations but also builds character and confidence.”
