MONTGOMERY – The Alabama Retail Association is accepting nominations for the 2025 Alabama Retailer of the Year.

In its 25th year, the Alabama Retailer of the Year awards recognize outstanding retailers who have demonstrated a blend of sound business practices and innovation with commitment to their communities, customers and employees.

“Alabama is home to thriving, inventive, and community-driven shops and restaurants,” said Rick Brown, president of the Alabama Retail Association. “We are excited to showcase their success and contributions.”

Nominees must own, operate or manage a retail business with a physical presence in Alabama. Retailers can sell a wide range of products including food, clothing, gifts, hardware, outdoor equipment, furniture, pharmaceuticals, jewelry, apparel, shoes and more.

To be considered a retail operation, the business must collect state and local sales taxes. The deadline to nominate a retailer is May 16

“No matter where you reside in the state, or the size of your community, you likely know a local retailer who is making an impact,” Brown said. “We hope you will nominate them for this recognition.”
