Norfolk Southern to repair Alabama Highway 20 rail crossing in Decatur

Norfolk Southern plans to reroute eastbound traffic while repairing this rail crossing on Highway 20 just west of Highway 67 in Decatur. (ALDOT photo)

DECATUR — Norfolk Southern plans to repair the rail crossing on Alabama Highway 20 just west of Highway 67 in Decatur on Wednesday, if weather permits.

Repairs will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the repair, a short segment of the eastbound SR-20 roadway will be closed. Eastbound traffic will be diverted to one lane of the westbound roadway.

Norfolk Southern repaired the westbound crossing last fall.
