Rev your engines! Toyota Field to host Classic Car Day and Rocket City Spring Tune-up

MADISON — To classic car buffs, especially those who remember the muscle cars of ’60s and ’70s, the number 427 had a special meaning.

Well, the 427 is coming to Toyota Field with other famed engines and cars on, of course, 4/27.

That’s right, the Rocket City Trash Pandas are hosting Classic Car Day on April 27 at Toyota Field.

The event rolls in as the Trash Pandas host the Birmingham Barons at Toyota Field. The afternoon will feature a parade of classic cars on the warning track and a mini-car show in the parking lot before the game.

And, if that’s not enough, the club has slated another event for automotive enthusiasts –  the Rocket City Spring Tune-Up a week later.

The Rocket City Spring Tune-Up Car Show will be May 3 in the Toyota Field parking lot. The family friendly event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will showcase classic and modern modified vehicles, with concessions available from the Trash Pandas. Tickets are $15, with free entry for children 12 and under.
