HUNTSVILLE – Sameer Singhal, president and CEO of Huntsville-based CFD Research, has been named to the ServisFirst Bank Huntsville Advisory Board, effective in September.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sameer to our advisory board,” said Andy Kattos, regional CEO of ServisFirst Bank Huntsville. “He brings a unique perspective from the government contracting industry and technology world, and his deep involvement in Huntsville’s business community makes him a fantastic addition to our team.

“We’re excited to collaborate with him as we continue growing in North Alabama.”

Singhal, who has been CEO since 2016, joined CFD Research in 2008 and has held a variety of leadership roles. Under his guidance, the company has continued to fulfill its mission of transforming cutting-edge R&D into real-world solutions that serve the needs of end users in defense, aerospace, energy, life sciences, and beyond.

Prior to CFD Research, Singhal spent seven years at Nitronec, a venture-backed semiconductor startup in Raleigh, N.C., where he helped guide early-stage technologies through to commercial product launch.

Singhal holds a bachelor of science from Georgia Tech and a master of science from Stanford University, both in materials science and engineering. He is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and holds eight issued patents with another eight pending.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Singhal remains deeply engaged in the Huntsville business community, especially through his involvement in the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, where he served as Board Chair in 2024, and the region’s GovCon ecosystem.
