BIRMINGHAM – Startup accelerator gener8tor today announced the participants for its spring gBETA cohorts in Alabama. The 15 startups are from around the state and represent a wide variety of industries and verticals.
The companies were selected for startup accelerator programs in Huntsville, Birmingham and Mobile. Selected into gBETA Huntsville are Inviktus, Seerletics, Invis, Qrave and nCase. gBETA Gulf Coast in Mobile accepted AI Ops, VB Ideas, Sensor Easy, Aspect Aerospace and Pinnacle Pole; and gBETA Bronze Valley Venture Lab in Birmingham accepted Yosubi, Backbone Technologies, Purposed Wellness, EVA AI, and The Clothing Library.
The gBETA program is led by national venture capital firm gener8tor and supports startups, workers, employers, artists and musicians across race, place and gender.
The seven-week accelerator program is designed to set a path for startups to pursue investment opportunities. Startup founders receive intensive concierge coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors.
“The goal of the gBETA accelerator is to help startups get ready to raise early stage capital and develop their go to market strategy,” said Emily Wykle, regional vice president at gener8tor. “By running programs with our partners in three cities across Alabama, we are able to engage more investors, customers, and corporate partners with our startups than ever before.”
The programs are made possible by a partnerships with gener8tor, Innovate Alabama, Apollo Foundation by RCP Companies, Bronze Valley and Innovation Portal with support from Regions, Alabama Power, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, Alfa, Robins & Morton and Fuqua Architects.

At the end of the gBETA program, founders will pitch their startups to investors, community partners and the public at showcase events across Alabama.

gBETA Huntsville startups
- Inviktus is a transmedia platform that blends augmented reality technology with storytelling, focusing on amplifying diverse cultural narratives. Inviktus has interviewed and started onboarding two social media interns in the U.S. to kick off its community-building effort across popular social channels. With a proposed launch this year, Inviktus has seen a 200% increase in content engagement across its primary social channel and has experienced staggering growth over the last 90 days: a 3,585% increase in follower rate.
- Seerletics helps high school coaches build the next generation of college athletes by
showing them their full potential, helping them optimize performance while marketing them to recruiters. Seerletics is piloting with the Bob Jones High School football team and plans to work with five other high schools by the end of the year. - Invis is an Inventory Visualization Tool that helps customers find products at local grassroots retail stores. Invis plans to launch in Huntsville this year.
- Qrave empowers food and beverage entrepreneurs by elevating their digital presence with responsive and search-optimized microsites at a fraction of the cost. Qrave has more than 100 users on its platform and continues to grow its user base 11% week over week.
- nCase is a Bluetooth-connected SmartCase and companion mobile app that detects the presence of clear aligners and reminds patients to wear their aligners when they forget. For the past three years nCase has achieved profitability through around $2 millioin in revenue from retail sales and licensing deals, most recently with Smile Direct Club and is expanding this year.
