Step up to the plate: Booz Allen looking to add to its roster

HUNTSVILLE – Take me out to the hiring fair!

Booz Allen Hamilton in Huntsville is doing something different this year with its partnership with the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

The company is leveraging the success of the baseball team, the winning atmosphere surrounding Toyota Field, and the talent pool that attend baseball games to encourage job seekers and career changers to “Explore Our Tech Careers.” The event is 4-7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the SportsMed Suite at Toyota Field.

“Toyota Field is a great stadium, a winning team, everything about it is fabulous,” said Booz Allen Hamilton Principal Kristina Barbee. “In the meantime, we can’t hire fast enough. We need technical skills and a highly creative staff to work across incredibly challenging mission areas between the Army, NASA, Marshall and the FBI. We are targeting technical talent at all levels from those who just graduated college, to those with a Ph.D. who have been doing what they do for 35 years.

“We see hundreds of thousands of resumes annually, but we are really looking for people who want to build a career, choose Huntsville as their community, be successful and grow.”

Barbee said Booz Allen has found great talent recruiting like this because it gets people to interact a little more in a comfortable environment. And they can discover all the technology-related jobs available, in a fun, casual way.

“And we want people to be themselves, to bring ‘you’ to work every day, and to be empowered,” she said.

That is why Toyota Field is such a great forum for Booz Allen.

“It is hard to do that when people are stuffed into a crowded hotel ballroom,” she said. “Let’s bring them to the stadium, whether there is a game going on in the background or not, it is a way to get to know potential staff on a personal level.”

Those who are analysts, engineers, or technical experts with the ability to obtain a security clearance, Booz Allen is seeking that expertise to guide some of the nation’s most critical missions.

The company is also hiring data engineers, cloud architects, software engineers, database developers, front end developers, systems administrators, and information systems security officers.

Pre-register here for the event.
