WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Dale Strong has been appointed to three House Armed Services Committee subcommittees: Strategic Forces; Readiness; and Cyber, Innovative Technologies, and Information Systems.

“I am humbled to have been assigned to these three subcommittees for House Armed Services.” Strong said. “I look forward to continuing my efforts to support the warfighter, our nation’s defense industrial base, and national security as a whole.”

The Strategic Forces subcommittee oversees missile defense and national security, as well as Department of Energy national security programs. Strong’s role will allow him to  advocate for key programs, units, and commands at Redstone Arsenal and the district’s industrial base.

The Readiness subcommittee is responsible for budgeting for training and logistics, military construction and housing, the Base Realignment and Closure process, civilian personnel, and energy security.

CITI has jurisdiction over DoD policy relating to cyber security, operations, and forces, artificial intelligence, and electromagnetic warfare.

“I am humbled to have been assigned to these three subcommittees for House Armed Services. I look forward to continuing my efforts to support the warfighter, our nation’s defense industrial base, and national security as a whole,” said Congressman Dale Strong.
