Synovix on $48M Navy contract; Torch Technologies awarded $11M Army contract modification

WASHINGTON — A pair of Huntsville companies received contracts recently from the Department of Defense.

Synovix joined Massachusetts-based Surmet on a $48 million Navy contract for the manufacture of the optical dome for the air intercept missile sidewinder. The work will be completed by March 2030 and primarily performed in the continental U.S., with locations that cannot be determined at this time.

Torch Technologies was awarded an $11,009,988 contract modification for simulation support to the Systems Simulation Software and Integration Directorate for the Army,

The work will be performed in Huntsville with an estimated completion date of Feb. 13, 2026. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
