HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville International Airport (HSV) has been nominated for Best Small Airport by Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards yet again.
The Readers’ Choice Awards included HSV among 16 contenders for 2025’s best small airport in the United States. According to Newsweek, the best small airports are for those who love to travel but hate dealing with the congested terminals and long lines common at large airports.
Public Relations Manager Mary Swanstrom said that HSV is honored to be in the running for best small airport in the country.
“We are really excited to have been voted the 2024 best small airport in the US by the Newsweek Readers Choice poll,” Swanstrom commented. “We are currently in the running for that designation again and would really like to keep it. And so we’re just asking everybody, if you love our airport and love our community, vote, vote for Huntsville.”
“You can vote on all your devices once per day, every 24 hours. And we have that link on our flyhuntsville.com website and our social media.”
Voting is open until the polls close on Thursday, April 10, at noon ET. Fans of North Alabama’s largest commercial airport can vote online daily for HSV here.
The 10 winners will be announced on April 17.
HSV is the largest commercial airport in North Alabama, serving more than 1.7 million passengers annually. HSV has nonstop service to 15 destinations, including an upcoming new nonstop flight to NYC. The airport is served by American, Delta, United Airlines, and ultra-low-cost carrier Breeze Airways.
