HUNTSVILLE – The Village of Promise scored an ace today, thanks to the 15th annual Torch Technologies golf tournament.
The event raised a record $120,000 for Village of Promise. It was also a milestone for participation and fundraising, according to the employee-owned defense contractor.
“On behalf of our employee-owners, I am proud to present this check for $120,000 to Village of Promise,” said Torch President Brad Walker. “Village of Promise is transforming lives by breaking cycles of generational poverty.
“Their work not only strengthens families but also builds a more stable and productive community — something we are deeply committed to supporting.”
Village of Promise is a Family Advancement Center founded in 2011 by Bobby Bradley and Gloria Batts to address the needs of children and families in under-resourced Northwest Huntsville neighborhoods.
Its mission is to empower children and their families to break the cycle of poverty through education and multi-generational support, helping them succeed in school, work, and life.
