Two days of Mayfest fun and entertainment in Guin

GUIN — For two days, the popular Mayfest transforms the downtown Guin square into a venue for free family fun, attracting thousands of visitors to the Marion County community Friday and Saturday.

Visitors are treated to live music, games, a dog show, 5K race, barbecue cook-off, car show and plenty of food.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Friday and the music lineup features headliner John Berry.

The Mayfest 5K Run hits the street bright and early Saturday morning in front of Guin City Hall.

Saturday’s activities are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a barbecue cook-off, car show, dog show, games and music from local performers.
