Country music icon Wynonna Judd and rock legend Melissa Etheridge will bring their co-headlining Raised on Radio Tour to Sand Mountain Amphitheater on Aug. 5 for what organizers are calling an evening celebrating the music that shaped generations.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $63.30.
The 27-city national tour pairs two Grammy-winning artists whose careers have spanned decades and have produced numerous chart-topping hits. The tour celebrates the songs and radio culture that influenced both performers while combining live music with personal storytelling.
Judd first rose to prominence in the 1980s as one half of the country duo The Judds alongside her mother, Naomi Judd. The pair became one of the most successful acts in country music history, releasing six studio albums and earning multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association honors before launching Judd’s successful solo career.
Etheridge, a two-time Grammy Award winner, is known for her blend of folk-rock, confessional songwriting and distinctive raspy vocals. She has also been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights since publicly coming out in 1993.
The Raised on Radio Tour also supports charitable causes. Judd has partnered with PLUS1 to donate $1 from every ticket sold to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Steps of Faith, which provides financial assistance for prosthetic care to amputees.
Etheridge will donate $1 from each ticket to The Etheridge Foundation, which funds research into plant-based medicines and innovative therapies aimed at addressing opioid use disorder and addiction.
The Albertville performance is part of a 27-date co-headlining concert series across the United States, which continues through September. Organizers say audiences can expect an evening featuring classic hits, fan favorites and stories from the two artists.
