106 Jefferson GM among ‘General Managers to Watch’

HUNTSVILLE — Jeremy Sadler, general manager at 106 Jefferson Huntsville, has been selected for Questex’s Hotel Management’s annual “General Managers to Watch” list. Sadler came to the Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in late April.

The company said its list showcases strong, passionate leaders in the hospitality industry.

Sadler, a 20-plus-year hospitality industry veteran, said he did not know he had been nominated.

“I am honored to have been selected and I am more surprised than anyone!” he said. “I am familiar with Questex’s General Managers Watch List, but I did not know I had been nominated or who nominated me.

“I have opened a couple of hotels for Hilton, and they have all done very well, so I guess I have built a reputation for that.”

Sadler served as general manager in several locations where he was responsible for opening operations and developing culture. He has held leadership positions with IHG, Marriott, Starwood, and Hilton across Texas, Alabama and Indiana.

Hotel Management said it annually seeks nominations to capture true talent that deserves widespread recognition for their dedication and outstanding achievements.

This year, more than 900 nominations were received, and Sadler is one of 48 professionals chosen by QHM’s senior editorial staff. Sadler is among hotel royalty as many of the GMs selected are from prestigious hotels in much larger cities than Huntsville.

Sadler describes 106 Jefferson is a hotel for locals by locals and the perfect place to put up friends and family on holidays or for events, as well as for business travel.

The hotel’s lobby is designed to be an extension of your own living room, he said.

The hotel’s Revivalist Restaurant & Lounge serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Baker & Able, the rooftop bar, offers small plates along with cocktails.

“The nominations for Hotel Management’s 2022 GMs to Watch class were especially inspiring… the largest group ever,” said Elaine Simon, senior managing editor with Questex Hospitality and Hotel Management. “The ongoing recovery has presented general managers with a continuing array of challenges, and these winners are creating a foundation for success for their properties and employees. In terms of guests, they are meeting new expectations with aplomb.

“Congratulations to HM’s 2022 GMs to Watch — we can’t wait to see what you do next.”

The 2022 “GMs to Watch” winners are featured in the November/December print issue of Hotel Management.
