ROW Manufacturing expanding to meet industry demand

ATHENS – A family-owned machine shop in Athens is making a capital investment to expand operations.

ROW Manufacturing, inside Breeding Industrial Park, said it is investing in machinery and people to keep up with the work demand.

“Supporting industry expansion is important and is welcome news,” Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks said. “ROW Manufacturing’s expansion means the company is making another investment in our city and making their presence here even stronger.”

The total capital investment is $521,900. The shop has been in business for 44 years and employs 12 people with a projection of adding three to five more in three years.

The Athens City Council unanimously approved a resolution last month for a tax abatement of non-education taxes for sales/use taxes during construction and asset property taxes.

According to Limestone County Economic Development Association President and CEO Bethany Shockney, ROW Manufacturing plays a vital role in supporting the local automotive ecosystem.

“ROW Manufacturing supplies local automotive plants with machine parts which are imperative to the plants’ daily operations,” Shockney said. “LCEDA is proud to work with ROW Manufacturing to help them continue flourishing in Athens.”
