256 Today Roundup: Events across North Alabama this week (Oct. 9- 15)

This week in North Alabama brings paintball zombies, delicious barbecue, hometown history and more. Take a look through just a few of the fun events happening across the area this week.

 Zombie Paintball at Grace Hill Farms – Athens

October 9 

Grab your glowing paintballs and hop into a Zombie Assault Vehicle to take on the horde of undead. For the month of October, Grace Hill Farms offers the ultimate zombie paintball experience every weekend until Nov. 7. Guests can also find their way through the Blackout Maze, throw axes at glow in the dark targets, or beat the clock in the Death’s Door Mini Escape Room.

Scottsboro BBQ Festival – Scottsboro

October 10

The 11th annual Scottsboro BBQ Festival returns to the Downtown Square in Scottsboro, Alabama. Admission is free to enjoy the live music, kid fun zone and car show. Attendees can purchase tickets for $10 to sample up to 10 Boston Butts and up to 10 deserts in the People’s Choice Competition. Take in some good music, eat some good food and enjoy the family friendly activities.

Huntsville History Walking Tour – Huntsville

October 10

Take a walk through Old Town Huntsville with the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau. This tour is perfectly suited for both long-time residents and those new to Huntsville looking to learn a bit more about the history of Huntsville. Admission is free for all ages and leashed pets are welcome. 

Dink Pink – Huntsville

October 13

Huntsville Parks & Recreation is going pink with the second-annual Dink Pink Pickleball Day. Join them in raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month by donning pink gear and play at over nine pickleball courts across Huntsville. There will be free pink-themed pickleball gear available at those locations while supplies last. 

Molly Tuttle @ The Princess Theatre – Decatur 

October 15

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Molly Tuttle performs at The Princess Theatre in Decatur. The show begins at 7 p.m. with supporting artist Rachel Baiman. Tickets are available starting at $40.

Whether it is glow-in-the-dark paintball, a relaxing walk through historic Huntsville or showing off your pickleball skills for a good cause, there is sure to be a corner of North Alabama that is just right for you.
